 Goal & Time Managment --- Studies in Excellence
Goal Setting and Time Management, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York

Thirteen Tips in:
 "How to Make Your Life an Insignificant Waste Land of Forgotten Opportunities"

ABSOLUTELY SPEND NO/LITTLE TIME PLANNING AND ORGANIZING. This is critical because you may become one of the most highly successful business people, which will put you into a 3% category.  You do not want to be that significant.  In order to manage by chaos you do not want a plan with structure.

FORGET ABOUT SETTING GOALS. Goals give your life, and the way you spend your time, direction. Refer to Statement #1.  Do not be like these successful Hunt brothers: When asked the secret to amassing such a fortune, one of the famous Hunt brothers from Texas replied: "First you've got to decide what you want." Listen, you need to run from those that want goals, which are too Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timetable. After all this may cause you to "stretch" and strive for achievement let alone make you accountable.

DO NOT PRIORITIZE ANYTHING. Use the 80-20 Rule originally stated by the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto who noted that 80 percent of the work should come from 20 percent of the people.  You need to be one of the other 80 percent of the people who watch others work.

TRASH THE TO DO LIST.  Highly successful people brag about using a daily To Do list which they construct either the last thing the previous day or first thing in the morning. Can you believe these people combine a To Do list with a calendar or schedule. Others dummies prefer a "running" To Do list which is continuously being updated. How about those strange little people that prefer a combination of the two previously described To Do lists. Do not let either method work for you. Be afraid, very afraid to try a new system ... you just might find that Journey Leader QUEST works! To Do or Not to Do, NOT!

KEY TO TOTAL INFLEXIBLITY. DO NOT ALLOW time for interruptions and distractions. Journey Leader experts often suggest planning for just 65 percent or less of one's time. You're kidding, with 65 percent of your time planned,  you will learn how to handle interruptions and the unplanned interruptions called "emergencies." But, we believe if you expect to be interrupted, lock the door, look busy and/or hide.  When interrupted say, "This is totally unimportant and unacceptable circumstances and I can be doing something else with my time right now?" Slam the door in disgust as if wasting your time and open up the nuts, kick your feet up and relax.

IGNORE YOUR BIOLOGICAL PRIME TIME. That's the time of day when you are at your best. Ignore IT, Go back to sleep or just look busy! The Journey Leader trains successful people to discover whether they are a "morning person," a "night owl," or a late afternoon "whiz?" The Journey Leader identifies your best time and plans how to use that time of day for your priorities (if possible) which is effective time management.  You should find a way to erase effective and efficient from your dictionary.

DO THE RIGHT THING WRONG AND THE WRONG THING OFTEN. Noted management expert, Peter Drucker, says "doing the right thing is more important than doing things right." The Journey Leader teaches doing the right thing is effectiveness; doing things right is efficiency. They get you to focus first on effectiveness (identifying what is the right thing to do), then concentrate on efficiency (doing it right).  Remember to erase those words out of our dictionary NOW!!

EVERYTHING SHOULD SEEM URGENT. Faking Urgency tasks have short-term rewards while unimportant tasks are those with NO-term, NO goal-related implications. Your job is to pretend at work everything is urgent. Do those things you must do to look busy so you will have time for .... whatever. You Must Not Flag or highlight items on your fake To Do list and definitely not attaching any kind of a deadline.  This will help you to keep unimportant items looking like urgent emergencies.  The problem with the Journey Leader is showing the top 10% how to live in a world of importance and with less urgencies.

IMPLEMENT AND PRACTICE THE ART OF UNINTELLIGENT NEGLECT. Eliminate from your life tasks or those tasks, which have any consequences for you. Delegate or eliminate your entire To Do list. Work on tasks, which you alone know are meaningless.  The Journey Leader works on significance and productivity by changing behaviors and attitudes.  Maybe we should eliminate productivity and significance from our vocabulary.

PRETEND YOU ARE A PERFECTIONIST.  All things need to be considered and demanded perfect in all ways so that others will ignore you. The key is for us that perfectionism, paying unnecessary attention to detail, is a perfectly acceptable form of procrastination.  What better way to legitimately waste the day away.  The Journey Leader teaches empowerment and accountability, which are really two big imperfect words leading to satisfaction and productivity.

MOTTO: "PROCRASTINATION IS WHO I AM". When you are avoiding something, combine it into larger overwhelming tasks. By doing a lot at a time, eventually you will reach a point where you will never have any time to finish.  The Journey Leader breaks up larger tasks into smaller ones with extraordinary focus on priorities and success. Don't even think about it!

LEARN TO SAY "YES" to EVERYTHING BUT SECRETLY MEAN "NO";
Such a small word ... and so easy to say by keeping everyone thinking you are extraordinarily helpful. By not having any goals or plans established will help with the rouge. Pretend to block out time for important, but often not scheduled priorities such as family and friends. You must be a convincing actor/actress so that you and your feelings get top billing.  Watch out for The Journey Leader helps you find the underlying cause of the issues with appropriate questions and answers.  Who wants answers?

REWARD YOURSELF CONTINUALLY and SAY  HOURLY "IT IS ABOUT ME."
Celebrate continually and announce to others your false achievements and goals. Write and make a promise to yourself how you will reward yourself for completing an hour of no productivity, or total procrastination of the total job. Then keep your promise to yourself and indulge in your reward and let everyone know how great you are. Doing so will help you maintain the necessary unbalance in life between work, play and sleep.

Ignore the Journey Leader for they say, "When we learned and mastered behaviors and attitudes to building excellence at work in combination with excellence and balance in health, family, financial, recreational, knowledge and spiritual, our lives become more joyful and emotionally and physically healthier.  We become fulfilled with better creativity, logic, intellectual gain, wisdom of understanding and emotional bonding with our world of significance."
